Why ACAP?

For over 30 years the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) has been equipping its graduates to work in psychology and related fields such as counselling, social work, community services, coaching, social science, youth work and case management. ACAP was the first non-university higher education provider to have its curriculum, staff, and resources recognised by APAC.

We are a registered higher education provider (HEP) and a nationally registered training organisation (RTO). Our Psychology degrees are accredited by APAC and our higher education counselling degrees are accredited by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA). ACAP’s Social Work courses are accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), the body that sets the benchmarks for professional education and practice in social work.
